GloquadTech Unveils PnC Controller..."Making Electric Vehicle Charging Easier and Safer” : GloquadTech

GloquadTech (CEO Bryan K.S Chang), a leading global electric vehicle charging communication solution provider, announced that it is conducting field trials with multiple charger manufacturers for its next-generation electric vehicle charging communication controller product equipped with Plug & Charge (PnC), an automatic charging function for domestic electric vehicle charging operators.

Since 2012, GloquadTech has been providing multi-standard support charging solutions and innovative products that accelerate the electrification of electric vehicles and mobility. In 2020, GloquadTech commercialized SECC with PnC capability and successfully installed and introduced it in chargers installed in the U.S. In 2024, GloquadTech commercialized SECC with PnC specification for Korea Electric Power Corporation.

In addition, starting this year, SECC products with PnC capabilities have been supplied to AC and DC charger manufacturers participating in the Korea Automobile Association PnC proof-of-concept (PoC) project.

The PnC feature enables automatic authentication and payment between the electric vehicle and the EV charger, so that charging starts automatically when the user clamps the charging gun to the vehicle. It simplifies the EV charging process by eliminating the need for additional authentication or payment methods, such as RFID cards or mobile applications, and increases the safety of data security by encrypting all charging communications.

GloquadTech's charging communication controllers support various charging standard protocols such as DIN70121, ISO15118, NACS, CHAdeMO, GB/T27930, etc. In addition, the software update capability provides an efficient and reliable solution for EV charger manufacturers and charging station operators.
